meet Betsy Hope
This world has turned upside down. Betsy's mother gave birth on Friday in a toilet and tried to flash her down the toilet, neighbors had to break the door. When the police were called, they first took mother and child to hospital and still then, she tried to strangle Betsy. She was only a few hours old when we got her.

Hallo Amanda
Amanda's mother come to church as worshipers were busy praying, sneaked in silently and left the baby at the entrance of the church. Poor lady! she must have thought that was the best thing to do and that maybe God would understand that at least she left Amanda in his house. I personally think that's better than abandoning her in a forest. She will have a better life here and hopefully a good adoptive family someday.

Meet our little prince
The other day the children's department called us with an urgent request, a couple had brought a child who they alleged to have found in a bush, only for the police to realize that the baby was actually their own. They no longer wanted him because he had some physical challenges. They sneaked out without knowledge of the police and disappeared into thin air. I know its a long road ahead, but these children belong to God and he has their best interest at heart.

Our little Prince
This boy came in today, he was left in a coffee plantation overnight and a guard found him today in the morning. Sometimes its hard to describe our feelings when we hear such stories, its a mixture of horror and sadness, with God helping us we are determined to give this boy a better life.

Natasha
She lights a room with her joy no matter who you are when you enter her room she will giggle and laugh, Natasha has overcome a lot of challenges in her life. Recently our caregivers noted she had developed a habit of sticking her tongue out, only to discover that one of her milk tooth was already too loose, the mother just touched it and it fell. Its amazing that, even though she cannot talk she has ways of making us notice her.

Meet our newest bundle of joy
She is so adorable, she has a smile that just makes you love her. Peggy was abandoned at a slaughter house where a good Samaritan found her one morning and called the police. She is only two months old. We live in a very twisted society but we thank God Peggy is alive. She is definitely destined for greatness...
The twins have been adopted!
There was a mixture of joy and sadness when the social worker told us that Max and Mark our adorable twins are going to be adopted. Joy because they have gone to such a wonderful home, and sadness because we loved them so much and we shall miss them. The day finally came on Sunday, we wish them God's blessings and may they grow to be great men of God.

Happy Life/OFC Children Vacational Bible Club
"Teach children the ways of the Lord and when they grow they shall never depart from it...". Our center in Juja was the place to be for 5 days; Children came from all over to be taught, and socialize with our children. There was a lot of excitement in the air, children had bible quizes, recited memory verses, sang and prayed and played many games. There was also a lot of food and drinks. Teachers and Juja Moms did a splendid job of looking after the children, cooking for them, ensuring their safety and teaching them. We are so grateful to all our HL friends who gave towards this Bible Club. May God bless you for taking notice of these 'Little Ones".

Yesterday was closing day for our Happy Life Christian School and the kids were very excited after a long term's work. Their smiles told it all. When I took Esther a picture in her beautiful shawl others like Abidah and Reuben insisted to join in and it was all smiles and laughter. These children just make my day and I thank God for them and what their future holds.

We introduce to you Jean
Sometimes the stories we are told when these children come, are just out of this world. Jean got lost and a good Samaritan took her in her house for one week, when nobody came to claim her, she reported the matter to the police. Now, here comes the interesting part, this whole week the good Samaritan thought she was a boy, and even the police recorded her as a lost boy!. We went to the police station and got our boy , only for one of our mothers to discover she was a girl while bathing her. We love her very much.
