Meet Frankline

This wonderful boy is approximately 4 years old, he was abandoned and  found by good Samaritans, who reported the matter to the police.  He was very scared when he was brought to Happy Life, on July 8th.
He does not speak even a single word of Swahili,he speaks Meru language. I tried speaking to him in Swahili one day, and the expression on his face was priceless, he was so amused and kept repeating what I had told him. The road ahead might have some difficulties, but with Jesus on board,  Frankline is headed for greatness.

Happy Life welcomes Mercy Abigael!

On 23rd of July, Happy Life welcomed our newest addition, baby Mercy Abigael.
She has been with us for only 3 days, and she is already a hit with the staff here.  She was abandoned at birth in Hospital by her mother,  at two months she is growing very fast. she has chubby cheeks and very beautiful eyes, if her mother was to see her now, am sure she would regret abandoning her.  We love you 'Abbi" .

Meet Brilliant

Happy Life does not only shelter the abandoned, but also rescue neglected  and abused children. Brilliant is as brilliant as her name suggests, she is very inquisitive, and wants answers for everything.  Currently she is in Happy Life to allow the police to sort out her case. Despite the issues she had to deal with, she is always smiling

Baby Rockie Continues to Grow

When you look at baby Rockie, he has an expression that tells you he has been through a lot in his short life.  He is a quiet boy who does not demand for attention, but his eyes beg for cuddles and hugs, which the staff and volunteers at HLCH gladly give him. Rockie was left by his mother in a public transport vehicle, a passenger noticed the baby was alone and reported the matter to the police.  He was only eight months old!  That was two months ago, today Rockie who is 10 months old, and still at Happy Life, is still growing strong.

Meet Baby Eric

Baby Eric was abandoned by his mother on admission in Hospital, efforts to trace the mother were futile.  When he came to Happy Life he was 3 weeks old, weighing 4.2kgs.  He had a slight tongue tie which was later corrected through a minor surgery. Eric is such a happy boy; he rarely cries unless of course he is hungry.  He has also overcome a lot: Neonatal jaundice and neonatal sepsis, but God saw him through all this.  He is destined for greatness!

Richard has been adopted

Richard joined the Happylife family when he was only three days old in 2010.  Now at five years he has finally found a forever family. Richard was a jovial boy and was loved a lot by his brothers and sisters, as well as the staff in our Juja Center. When he left on 20th July, it was a dream come true for all of us at Happy Life.

Justine now has parents and a Home

Justine has finally found a mum and dad at almost four years of age.  It was a mixture of joy and sadness at our Juja Farm Center as he bid his brothers, sisters and mum farewell on Monday.  Reuben would not let Justine go; he held on to him and cried.  But Justine had to go; because he now has a home and a family!  What a blessing adoption is for the abandoned children.  Just as God in Christ, adopted us into His family, our children are getting adopted and belonging.   We thank God for these parents who have a big heart and open arms.  May God bless them...

Maxwell & Asland are now Brothers

The other two children that got a new family, Maxwell and Asland, did not just acquire a Mum and Dad; they are now brothers!  It is overwhelming to see God's hand in the lives of our children.  The Bible says that God puts the lonely into families.  They that had no kin now have each other and a wonderful mother and father.  And looking at the family of four brought tears of joy to many in church yesterday as we bade the two boys goodbye.  At such moments I feel God's embrace on His children saying, "I will perfect that which concerns you"... yes, do not fear!

Zakai has a new family

What a week it was last week when three of our dear children got their families.  One of them was Zakai.  When he was brought back to see us he would not even look at me or shake my hand.  I guess he thought we might take him back.  He got wonderful parents and now has a big sister (I just fell in love with that couple).  What a joy to see the dream of offering the abandoned children a "hope for adoption" come true!  We wish Zakai well and we know God has a great plan for his future in that family.

Happy Life Christian School offering Holistic Education

It is always such a pleasure to go to our Juja Farm Center and watch the children learn in class, run around the compound and play ball, roll the tires (very common in Kenya's residential areas), and much more.  They always greet visitors with such beautiful smiles and want to show them their class work.  I also love it when the Class 4 kids try out their English with me because we agreed that they must learn English to be able to communicate with the world.  It gives us such a fulfillment to see a dream come true at the school, "Raising a Godly generation through holistic education".  These kids love to memorize the Bible verses, sing songs and read; and we want to help them become people of means in their generation as much as we can. God has been our help and He will be our help to the end.  We also thank you all our sponsors for helping these kids acquire education.  God bless you...

Max and Mark Growing Strong

Meet Max and Mark: the two handsome twins.  When they came to Happy Life five months ago at about 2 months they were so small and sickly, but they are growing big and strong.  Max pulls himself up on the small baby chair and you have to keep a keen eye on him, otherwise he will troop over the back!  They are so adorable too!  They liven the Infant A room with their beautiful smiles and laughter.  I really thank God for them and we are all watching this space.... Who knows what God has in store for these kids!!

Baby Jeremiah

On 22 June, baby a handsome young boy, less than two months old joined the Happy Life loving family.  He had stayed in hospital for several weeks after a preterm birth.  But he is feeding and growing so well.  Happy Life has given him a home and a hope for adoption.  Please pray for Jeremiah that God will bless you with good health and a great future, for only He knows this boy's future days.
