3 Children into new Families

The older children and some staff bidding Moses Bye-bye

Mose's Mum and the Sister

Moses, Nahashon and Apple are now in their new families. These three are the recent children who were taken for adoption by three different families. Moses is 4 years old and everyone who have come to Happy life must have known Moses. He was the ever smiling boy and he influenced all the other older children with his leadership quality. He is being adopted by a widowed lady who has another older daughter. Nahashon, is one year and 2 months old. He was born pre-term and when he came to HLCH, he looked very small. He has gone through a lot of medical attention to be whom he is now. He is now healthy and very joyous. He is being adopted by a young couple who has a two years old daughter. Apple is 6 months old girl and she is being adopted by a young couple who fell in love with her the first day they visited Happylife.

5 babies being brought in on 31st March from Thika District hospital

Happylife Children's home has brought hope and joy not only to the abandoned children but also to the parents who happen to adopt them. Every time we receive new babies, most of them having been abandoned immediately after birth in different places and conditions, we tend to see their future and not what they are at the moment. Our committed workers with the help of volunteers give the best care possible and its amazing to experience how love and care can transform lives. This for a fact is very fulfilling!. Currently we have 37 children ranging from 2 weeks old to 6 years old. Alisa our youngest baby girl was admitted 2 weeks ago after having been abandoned one Sunday morning along Nairobi-Thika Highway. Jeff is the recently admitted child (boy) who was rescued by a good samaritan having been abandoned outside a gate. He looked traumitised, dehydrated and had a very high fever. We immediately rushed him to the hospital and was diagnosed of Malaria, dehydration and malnutrition. He is undergoing treatment and responding positively.

Back in the bloggersphere!

After being "off the air" for over a month trying to find the old blog spot I decided that it was "lost forever" and that I needed to move on!

I hated losing what had become the "history" of Happy Life Happenings. In reality the "real" history can be seen in the lives of the 23 abandoned babies who have been adopted and the 51 who are now living with their new parents in the adoption process.

Thankfully we look ahead to all the great things that will become a part of Happy Life.

Spread the word that our new address is : happylifekenya.blogspot.com

Look forward to hearing your thoughts/comments!
