5 babies being brought in on 31st March from Thika District hospitalHappylife Children's home has brought hope and joy not only to the abandoned children but also to the parents who happen to adopt them. Every time we receive new babies, most of them having been abandoned immediately after birth in different places and conditions, we tend to see their future and not what they are at the moment. Our committed workers with the help of volunteers give the best care possible and its amazing to experience how love and care can transform lives. This for a fact is very fulfilling!. Currently we have 37 children ranging from 2 weeks old to 6 years old. Alisa our youngest baby girl was admitted 2 weeks ago after having been abandoned one Sunday morning along Nairobi-Thika Highway. Jeff is the recently admitted child (boy) who was rescued by a good samaritan having been abandoned outside a gate. He looked traumitised, dehydrated and had a very high fever. We immediately rushed him to the hospital and was diagnosed of Malaria, dehydration and malnutrition. He is undergoing treatment and responding positively.
