Opportunities to Visit

HAPPY LIFE THRIVES WITH YOU!

Volunteers hug and hold; kiss and touch; feed and clothe; paint and repair; sing, read and smile!

From one day to several months!

Volunteers come from Belgium, Mexico, Australia, Canada, Venezuela, Ireland, Turkey, Switzerland, Taiwan, Serbia, Germany, United States, England,...

Happy Life now is able to provide housing for volunteers!

We have been told by different volunteers and Kenyans that the kids at Happy Life are very well adjusted socially and physically! This is a credit to the Happy Life TEAM: Pastor Peter, the staff, and the "mothers" who work so hard and show much love to the children.

When will you be coming? The kids will love you!

Two new Babies

Timothy and Nina were found abandoned in two different places but in same circumstances. They had both been put in plastic bags and left on the streets at night. Timothy is about three weeks old but the amazing thing is that Nina is about 5-6 months old. I really may not know the intentions of of putting these precious ones in those plastic bags but most probably they wanted them to die but, by the grace of God, they have found a home at Happy Life Children's Home where they will get the necessary care and love.

Yes, there is hope

Providing the abandoned children of Kenya with a home and a hope for adoption!

Baby Sifa was brought to Happy Life while the Team was present in Mid August.
It is such a joyous experience to witness an abandoned child coming to Happy Life; to be able to follow her path as the Lord leads knowing that Sifa has a real hope from the Lord in this life and in her life to come!

Just the other day someone brought a six month old boy to Happy Life who was found abandoned in a plastic bag. By the Lord's grace and mercy he now has hope!

This is what Happy Life is all about! Giving a home and a hope for adoption to these little children!

Thanks for your concern and support!

5 more children

We have five new babies, 3 boys and 2 girls. Hadasha is about 1 year old. She was abandoned a few kilometers from HLCH. On admission, she had a very bad skin disease and she has been going through treatment. No matter what she has gone through, she has the best smile and she enjoys being at Happy Life. I think even before she was finally abandoned by her parents, emotionally, she was rarely cared for and emotionally she had already been abandoned. However, she has found a home her face is a face of hope.

Hadasha

These other four children were among the five who were supposed to be admitted at HLCH on 2nd August. We were from the children’s court to pick them when our van was involved in an accident, about 3 kilometers from Happy Life and one boy (baby Michael – one year old) never made it to the home but passed on. Jacob and Esther had a fracture on the leg but Edwin and Casper escaped unhurt. Amazingly, they are healing very well and Jacob is strong and standing. I, Judy ( the social worker) and Paul the driver were also in the same van but It‘s a miracle that we escaped with minor injuries. Glory to God!

3 more new Babies

Angel

Baby Divine

Allysa carrying Baby Nicko

Baby Nicko

Angel is about 1 year old. She was abandoned by her mother at a matatu terminus (stage) in the care of a matatu conductor. However, some people recognized her but said that the mother has been leaving her all alone and sometimes giving her sedatives so that she can remain in bed for a whole day and that they had not seen her for a long time. I wonder why someone would do that to such an innocent young beautiful girl like Angel. Thank God, she has found a loving home at Happy Life. Divine is about 2 weeks old and he was abandoned on the street immediately after birth. The Good Samaritan who rescued reported the case to the area chief, who asked her to stay with her as he tries to do the investigations. After two weeks the mother had not been traced and he was brought at Happy Life. Nicko is about 4 days old. He was abandoned some along the Thika highway behind a heap of rocks being used by the road contractors. He was given the beautiful name by one of our young volunteers from Canada Allysa who has been here with her grandma for two weeks and she also accompanied the nurse as she went to bring the baby from the police station.
